Can an infected eyebrow piercing cause headaches?

by Jeff Wright

Question by Sophia: Can an infected eyebrow piercing cause headaches?
I got my eyebrow pierced a couple months ago and it has been healing pretty normally, but today I got this really intense pain in my forehead and especially around my piercing and my eye. It doesn’t seem to be infected. There’s no swelling or discharge or anything but I don’t know what else would cause that. Is it an infection or just a headache?

It hit a nerve and you are going to continue to have pain until you remove the piercing.
