Question by Liana: What is the best 55 inch tv to buy today?
I am looking into buying a 50 or 55 inch tv. This is the first time I’m buying a tv that doesn’t weigh as much as a boat, so I feel clueless. The choice between LED LCD or PLASMA is becoming a headache. My friends Sony 37 inch LCD 1080hp 120hz hdtv looks great when I watch dvds, blue rays, and HD channels on it. Yet now she tells me there are tvs out there that look better than hers??? I search on some places where they say plasmas are better for viewing blue rays and sports and others say the new LEDs have improved???
I’m just looking for a realiable tv that will last me for years and years just like my 1990′s Sony tv, and not have a problem with it. I’m not interested in the new 3D tvs or the smart tvs with internet. In addition to being reliable I just want a clear picture as the one I have witnessed with my friends Sony or if even a better picture is possible? Please help me on this journey to this new world of tvs! =)
P.s: I’ve always had Sony but have heard that Samsungs are very reliable and have great picture for a bit of a price drop…any opinions???
